I remember back when I first started online everywhere you turned people were telling me to build a list.
Truth is, that I knew what they were trying to say, but just did not know where to start. Every tool, book, whatever they kept suggesting to me, I thought was just an attempt to sell me more stuff that I would have no use for.
After struggling to learn about online business for the better part of two years with very little success. I eventually met some people who were succeedeing. Studying more about who was succeeding, and how they were doing it, I soon realized they did have a list and they were continuing to add more subscribers every day.
You see, they had a system, a goal, they knew you had to have a customer base in order to sell anything. Think about it for just a second. You have a great product, even an affiliate association, so who do you tell? Now think about this. What if you had a list of even 500 subscribers?
Starting to get the point? Now you have a customer base.
Having a list of subscribers is really more about building relationships with others. Offering help, free information you've learned, sharing ideas and getting to know people.
Not trying to continually sell them the latest greatest product just because you get a huge commission.

Don't stop there, email your referrals periodically to let them know you support them, offer your assistance and ask if you can be of service. Build a solid relationship with your referrals.

Now you don't want to mail them every chance you get, nor do you want to send them every opportunity under the sun. You do however want to communicate, give them your email address to reply and start building a relationship.
There are multiple advantages. Not only building a relationship to market your wares, but it has also proven to keep your referrals more active.
More active downline means more surfing credits for you.
