It is a no!
Because of the increased bandwidth usage and the forced advertising.
I would like to comment on this.
Sometimes, we here in North America, forget that bandwidth is an issue to many in other countries. We do need to keep that in mind as we are building a worldwide business when marketing on the internet, however, we also need to consider that the majority of customers are in North America. It's a tough call. I do need to point out though that use of audio and video on websites and even blogs is growing by leaps and bounds, as are all the other bandwidth eating popups, exit ads, fly in ads etc, etc, etc, ….
In my opinion these audio ads are no worse. A 5 sec audio cannot be eating that much bandwidth and certainly is no more forced advertising than the google ads, etc… that we are bombarded with daily.
In fact, it has been suggested that these short audio’s actually attract a viewers attention to your page.
Please continue to send in your opinions. That goes for everything I do,
as I am trying to build us all a profitable marketing venue.
